If you have looked at many Internet sites, you have probably come across some error message from time to time. An error can occur in case the server can't process a request (Error 400), if you need to log in to see some content and you haven't done so (Error 401), if you are not allowed to access a webpage (Error 403) or if a link leads to a file which is not on the server (Error 404). Receiving this kind of messages may sometimes be annoying as the pages don't have anything in common with the actual site. That’s why some website hosting service providers allow you to use your own error pages that'll match the style of your own Internet site and which can have any content which you would like - info why the error has appeared, a suggestion how to proceed or even some amusing remark. : Custom Error Pages in Shared Hosting

You will be able to set up personalized error pages for all of your websites easily if you use any of our shared hosting service. This could be done using the Hosted Domains part of the Hepsia Control Panel, offered with all accounts and once you go there, you'll be able to set your custom made pages independently for any domain or subdomain. You need to upload the files to your account beforehand and enter the links to them during the process. This function could be de-activated anytime and the options you will be able to select from are a generic page from our system or a default Apache web server page. Custom made error pages can be set with an .htaccess file too. The file should be put in the domain or subdomain folder and it must include some system code and links to the pages. Adding your personal pages for each of the 4 error types to any Internet site hosted in a semi-dedicated server account with us will be very simple and won't take more than a few mouse clicks. When you upload the files in your account, you could navigate to the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia Control Panel and edit each of the domains and subdomains listed there via an intuitive interface with drop-down menus. You may choose what page should appear for every single error type. Your options are a standard Apache server page or a page from our system, and personalized pages. In case you select the aforementioned option, you have to input the link to each and every page in your account, then save the change. The link or the kind of page that appears in case a user encounters an error can be changed anytime. In case you’re more experienced, you may use an .htaccess file in order to set custom error pages too, instead of using our integrated generator instrument, and if you select this option, the file has to be placed in the root directory of a given domain or subdomain.
